- Questionnaire and discussion of medical history
- Full physical examination including rectal examination for patients over the age of 45
- Weight and height assessment with a Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation
- Visual acuity assessment
- Peak flow test (indicator of lung disease)
- Resting ECG
- Special investigations:
a. Blood tests:
- Full blood count
- Kidney function
- Liver function
- Cholesterol profile
- ESR
- Fasting blood glucose (diabetes)
b. Urine analysis

Additional tests can be added to the Essential Health Screen should you have specific concerns. These are priced separately and could include the following:
- Prostate specific antigen (PSA) for male patients over the age of 45
- Mammogram, breast ultrasound or chest X-rays
- Cervical Chlamydia swab
- Cervical smear
- Thyroid function test (TFT)
- Laboratory urine investigations
- Stool samples for occult blood - recommended for patients over the age of 40
