The Cervarix Vaccine is licenced for girls and women from 10 to 25 years of age. The Gardasil vaccine is licensed for girls and women from 9 to 26 years of age and it has been proven to be safe and effective in this age group. Ideally, females should get the vaccine before they become sexually active, i.e. before they can be exposed to HPV.The vaccination is also currently licensed for boys aged 9-15. Vaccination for boys will assist in preventing genital warts.

AGE:

• 27 and older: The study did not include this age group and the chances are very high that you would have been exposed to HPV already, however MediClinic will do vaccinations in this age group.
• 16-26:MediClinic perfomrs vaccinations for this age group
• 9-15: Parents wishing to vaccinate their children will be referred to another doctor as we do not vaccinate minors.
